ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to probe the effectiveness of an intermittent hypoxia program in cyclists and active subjects. The intermittent hypoxia exposure, as altitude training method with hipoxia and normoxia interval, is used by elite athletes and other populations for improve their performance and quality of life. The effects of this type of programs increase the capacity of transporting oxygen in blood. KEY WORDS Intermittent Hypoxia Exposure (IHE), cycling, VO2max, Anaerobic threshold.
