The aim of this study is inspired by the sanitary and educative field. These sectors are related through the health concept. Teachers, Sport Studies and Sport Science professionals and research workers are assigned to transfer the knowledge to merge these fields. This is, a new knowledge is required on the strategies to prevent and to deal with the obesity. The nutritional state through the body mass index (BMI) in the scholar population (2-18 years) and its relation with the physical fitness, will establish as a basic pillar in the judgment of the referral of the nutritional risk group, making the pediatrician sensitive for detecting the overweight and the obesity. In addition to this, an epidemiologic cross sectional study was conducted to show the relation between the nutritional state through BMI in scholar population and the physical fitness in boys and girls of Year 5 and Year 6 of primary of different age, gender and race.
